8th Annual Community Yard Sale to be held in Meredith

Antique enthusiasts, collectors, and bargain hunters should plan on heading to Meredith on Saturday, May 17 for the 8th Annual Community Yard Sale, sponsored by the Meredith Area Chamber of Commerce. According to Chamber Executive Director Susan Cerutti, the sale will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at over fifty locations in the Meredith Area.

Organizers report that several businesses will participate, including, Hack-Ma-Tack Campground and Hearth and Home on Route 3 South, White Mountain Orthopedics on Route 104, Symphony Motel on Route 3 in the center of town and Meredith Bay Pottery on Route 3 across from the Town Docks.

On Highland Street in the downtown area the First Congregation church, located on Highland Street will have a sale, and Annalees Country Gift and Christmas Shop on Reservoir Road will also be participating, as will Truell Real Estate, located next to the Chamber office.

As in the past, the Meredith Altrusa Club will hold a sale on the lawn of the Chamber building and the Meredith Historical Society will hold a Bake Sale at their Main Street Museum. Sales will be held at individual residences all over town, including neighborhood sales on Circle Drive, Pleasant Street, Hillrise Lane, and Pollard Shores.

The Yard Sale will be held rain or shine and maps identifying the locations of the various sales will be available beginning at 8:00 a.m. the day of the sale at the Chamber of Commerce Information Center located at 272 Daniel Webster Highway. Signs will be posted at the individual locations so those attending will know where the sales are.

This community spirited event is sponsored by the Meredith Area Chamber of Commerce as a service to both residents and businesses and at the same times provides visitors with the opportunity to shop for treasures at the various sales and frequent the local stores and restaurants.
