WOLFEBORO — The New England Drama Festival is the celebration of the best in high school theater from the six New England states. Each year, a different New England state hosts this three-day event. Through a series of theater festivals, each state selects their top two high school theater productions to send to the New England Drama Festival. Currently, each state is in the final process of selecting.
This year, the Drama Festival will be hosted by Kingswood Regional High School on the weekend of May 1-3 in the Kingswood Arts Center in Wolfeboro. This three-day event will feature 12 different one-act plays, as well as theater workshops offered by Plymouth State University, Keene State College, The University of New Hampshire, St. Anselm College, and New England College.Â
While the workshops are offered exclusively to participating students, all performances are open to the public, with tickets available at the door. For more information, visit nhetg.org or kingswoodtheater.org.
