MOULTONBOROUGH — Kick off the new year with the Moultonborough Library winter reading challenge. The library invites its patrons to collectively read 30,000 minutes in January.
The challenge’s theme is “All the Feels,” referencing the emotions readers can experience through reading. Reading Partners, a national nonprofit that supports individualized reading support for elementary school children, states that “reading can help kids build developmental skills of emotional intelligence and empathy, enabling our young readers to better connect with other perspectives and human experiences.”
To participate, download the Beanstack app or visit moultonboroughlibrary.beanstack.org. Sign in or sign up and follow the prompts to register for the challenge. Log the minutes you read on Beanstack and it will take care of keeping track of our collective goal. Earn electronic badges and physical prizes.
