SANBORNTON — The New Hampshire Humanities program, “A Beginners Guide to Cemetery Sleuthing,” will be presented by Erin E. Moulton on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. at the Sanbornton Public Library and is co-hosted by the Sanbornton Cemetery Committee.
The local cemetery is a time capsule. Each headstone is plastered with clues about the deceased, those who once walked where you walk now. A simple step through the hallowed gates can bring one on an adventure to explore symbolism, workmanship, and local history. Join Moulton as attendees learn the meaning behind cemetery iconography, abbreviations, epitaphs, and more.
