The 9th Annual “Runaway Pumpkin 10K & 5K Run/Walk” kicked off the NH Pumpkin Festival on the morning of Oct. 26 with over 700 participants; many of them vying for the event’s signature pumpkin bread prizes, provided courtesy of Annie’s Café & Catering.

Highlights include: 2023 Top Male 5K Finisher Ryan LaFrance of Gilford, winning the 10K with a time of 35:06 (5.40/mile) and Sarah Rak of Concord, finishing as the 10K top female with a time of 43:39 (7.02/mile).

Jaymes Cole of Charlotte, NC was first across the finish line for the 5K (17:58, 5.48p) and 11-year-old Natalie Radar of Natick, Massachusetts, finished as the first 5K female (19:35, 6.19p) quickly followed by her sister, Addalie Radar, second place female (19:49, 6.24p).

“It was a beautiful and great day for the WOW Trail and we’re so thankful for the generosity of our sponsors and for the 50+ volunteers that make it all happen,” said Event Director Jennifer Beetle.
