LACONIA — After the success of last year’s promenade theater experience, “Alices Adventure in Wonderland,” Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative has teamed up once again with Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center to bring audiences on a “Journey Through Neverland.”
An original play written by Powerhouse’s Tess Hodges, the adventure will take audiences through the grounds of Prescott Farm.
A rotating cast of five Peter Pans and Shadows will lead small groups of audience members through scenes throughout the farm with familiar favorites from the classic story including Tinkerbell, Smee, Captain Hook, and more.
In addition to Peter Pans and his Shadow, all other characters have been double cast, so each performance is a unique adventure.
“As a long-time fan of the Cathy Rigby ‘Peter Pan’ and the movie ‘Hook,’ I wanted to use this journey to answer some of my own questions of the lore. What did Peter do after he dropped off Wendy? What do the Lost Boys and pirates do when Peter is away? Who is everyone’s favorite: Peter, or his Shadow?” Hodges said.
Performances are Sunday, Sept. 14, Saturday, Sept. 20, and Sunday, Sept. 21, from 1 to 4 p.m. with groups leaving every 20 minutes.
