WOLFBORO — Makers Mill is hosting three hands-on fabric dyeing workshops this August with fiber arts extraordinaire Jeanne Flanagan.
On Wednesday, Aug. 20, 1-4 p.m. will be Fabric Dyeing: Colors, Shades & Hues. Attendees will mix primaries into custom palettes and dye quilting cotton, tees, and repurposed linens that you can later turn into quilts, garments, or upcycled projects.
On Thursday, Aug. 21, 1-4 p.m. will be Fabric Dyeing: Shibori. Attendees will learn fold-and-dye techniques inspired by traditional Japanese Shibori, try eye-dropper applications, scrunch dyeing, and more to create striking patterns.
On Friday, Aug. 22, 1-4 p.m. will be Ice-Dyeing Fabric. Attendees will fold their fabric, layer on dye powder and ice, and let melting water create bold, unpredictable color bursts and splits — each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
All workshops take place outdoors on the covered back patio at Makers Mill, 23 Bay St. Register and get details at
