CONCORD — Director of Athletics Paul Hogan has announced his retirement, ending his 43-year career in education and athletics. Most notably, Paul dedicated more than two decades at NHTI as the men's basketball head coach and athletic director.
Hogan’s teaching, coaching and administrative career includes stops along the way at Woodsville, Litchfield, Laconia, Plymouth State and Spaulding High School in Rochester before arriving at NHTI in 1999.
The legendary coach and leader in the world of athletics leaves a strong lasting legacy in NH athletic circles with his coaching resume and the development of NHTI into a small college athletic power.
Reflecting on his retirement Hogan stated, "NHTI has been a very special place for the past 23 years. My time with our Lynx will always be cherished. I look forward to continuing my relationship with NHTI in a different role moving into a new chapter of my life."

His career was decorated with incredible accolades, as well as connections to so many players, parents, and members of our community. He has given our small college everything, and his success with the basketball program was nothing short of elite.
Hogan officially retires from NHTI on Aug. 1. He will step down as the full-time director of athletics and men’s basketball coach. He will continue to serve as an adjunct professor in sports management/business at NHTI and athletic administration at Plymouth State.
It is expected that Hogan will serve as the interim director of athletics in September until a new leader is in place for the position.
