NEW HAMPTON — The pilot launch of the New Hampton GOT LUNCH program has been deemed a success with local families, volunteers, and community organizations coming together to make a tangible difference in the lives of children this summer.

Running for 10 weeks, the program served nine families and provided meals for 26 children in need. By addressing food insecurity during the summer months, the initiative has made an enduring impact on the local community. The success of the program can be attributed to the partnership between New Hampton School, New Hampton Community Church, New Hampton Community School, the New Hampton First Responder Association and the Interlakes GOT LUNCH program, as well as local donors and volunteers.

“The generosity of our community supporters has been overwhelming,” said New Hampton Community School Principal Ann Holloran. “Without the financial contributions, the support of volunteers, and the backing of local organizations, we simply couldn’t have made this happen. This program is a true reflection of how our community comes together in times of need.”

For many families, the GOT LUNCH program provided not just food, but peace of mind. One NHCS parent whose children benefited from the program said, “It’s been a lifesaver. The meals were not only nutritious but also easy to prepare. The support from the community has meant the world.”

Organizers plan to continue the program next summer. For more information, email gotlunchnewhampton@gmail.com.
