WOLFEBORO — February at Makers Mill highlights fiber arts with hands-on classes that invite makers to slow down, learn traditional skills, and create something both beautiful and useful. From wool work and basket weaving to knitting in the round, these workshops offer adults the chance to build skills, connect with others, and leave with finished projects they can use and enjoy.
For knitters ready to move beyond the basics, Knitting II: Cozy Winter Cowl meets on Feb. 11, 18, and 25 from 3 to 5 p.m. This three-part class builds on foundational skills and teaches students to follow a pattern and knit in the round while creating a wearable winter cowl. The class is also taught by Deb Halstead, whose approachable teaching style has drawn many returning students.
Additional fiber arts offerings are available throughout February, including sewing, printmaking on fabric, upcycled fashion workshops, and free monthly fiber arts mingles.
All fiber arts classes take place at Makers Mill, 23 Bay Street, Wolfeboro. Registration details, materials information, and class policies can be found at makersmill.org.
