MEREDITH — The League of NH Craftsmen – Meredith Fine Craft Gallery invites you to create a beautiful keepsake in this woven journal class with instructor, Jean Reed on Sunday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The main focus of this class will be the weaving of papers in a basic over/under, or herringbone pattern. Patterns will vary depending on the colors chosen by the student. Journals will also be put together with ring binders allowing you to be able to add or take away elements as desired.

Each journal will be tailored to the individual as time is spent embellishing with stamps and tagging for notes, pockets, photographs and drawings. Students are encouraged to bring things from home such as ribbons, family photos, special letters saved, buttons, stamps, colored markers, or pens.

Journals measure approximately 5 x 5” and when the class is over you will have your own keepsake ready to take home. No previous weaving experience needed.

Students should bring a ruler, pencil, scissors, and a bagged lunch.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

To register for this workshop, call the League of NH Craftsmen – Fine Craft Gallery at 603-279-7920 or stop by the gallery located at 279 Daniel Webster Highway.
