MEREDITH — Join the League of NH Craftsmen — Meredith Fine Craft Gallery on Friday, Sept. 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a Make a Pair of Earrings class with juried artist Becky Sawyer.
Students are invited to join Becky Sawyer as she guides them through the process of creating earrings from shrink plastic and colored pencil. Whether they have a design in mind from the get-go, or decide to figure it out as they draw, the techniques in this class will let students turn their creative ideas into hand-illustrated accessories. Drawing experience is helpful but not required.
All materials, including the shrink plastic and a toaster oven to harden it, will be provided for use during the workshop. Students will complete a pair of one-of-a-kind earrings ready to wear or give as a special gift. This class is excellent for beginners, and no prior experience is required.
Students are encouraged to bring art, photos, or other visuals to use as inspiration for their drawings.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Those who wish to take the class must sign up by Wednesday, Sept. 2.
To register for this workshop call the League of NH Craftsmen — Meredith Fine Craft Gallery at 603-279-7920 or visit the Gallery at 279 Daniel Webster Highway in Meredith. For more details, visit meredith.nhcrafts.org/classes or facebook.com/nhcraft.
