LACONIA — Make A Difference Day, also occasionally known as National Make A Difference Day is an unofficial holiday or observance that places an emphasis on volunteerism and community service. A donation of personal items were donated to Isaiah 61 Café from Altrusa of Laconia for Make A Difference Day. It is celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 23 this year.
Isaiah 61 Café is located on 100 New Salem Street in Laconia. It is a nonprofit organization providing a place for the less fortunate and brokenhearted in Laconia to have access to bathroom facilities, showers, lockers, washer and dryers on a daily basis and breakfast and lunch daily. They are in the process of expanding in order to offer shelter during winter months. GIVE—SHARE—BE KIND.
