GILFORD — Players from the Lakes Region United soccer club attended the New Hampshire Soccer Association Night at the Revs at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, on Saturday, Oct. 16.  For over 10 years, the New England Revolution has hosted teams from New Hampshire offering youth soccer players the chance to play on the Gillette field, visit Patriot Place, tailgate with soccer friends, and watch the New England Revolution play an MLS game. “We are extremely happy to have so many club players and families back to Gillette Stadium for the opportunity to play on the professional field. LRU loves being able to offer opportunities like this to local players and is grateful to NHSA, the Revs, and our coaches and board members for their help making this event so fun and memorable,” said LRU President Steven Hepburn.

LRU and several other youth soccer teams from around New Hampshire participated in 7v7 scrimmages on the turf at Gillette Stadium prior to the match between the New England Revolution and the Chicago Fire, which ended in a 2-2 draw. The New England Revolution is currently in first place in MLS standings, and on track to notch the most points in MLS history.

Based in Gilford, Lakes Region United is a 100 percent parent and volunteer run soccer club drawing athletes from around the Lakes Region.
