MEREDITH — With pent-up demand from performers and audiences alike, the LRSO String Quartet will be performing a variety of music in a free outdoor concert on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 4 p.m. at Mill Falls Marketplace.

LRSO Concertmaster, violinist Margaret Hopkins, will be joined by talented colleagues violinists Muriel Orcutt, violist Sally Wituszynski, and cellist Kari Jukka-Pekka (JP) Vainio. The Ensemble will be performing a delightful mix of pieces including “Nocturne,” by Borodin, “Rosamunde, 1st movement by Schubert,” “Gabriel’s Oboe,” “Delibes Flower Duet” and more.

The concert is free and is part of the Orchestra’s outreach to bring live music back into the Lakes Region.

In addition to performing at the Inter-Lakes Auditorium, the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra has announced performances at two new venues starting Nov. 6 at the Hanaway Theatre, Plymouth State University, and on Dec. 10 and again on May 15, 2022 at the beautifully refurbished Colonial Theatre in Laconia.
