LACONIA — The healthy membership of the Laconia Friendship Club was hit hard by continual losses in the "lockdown." As the senior social scene was devastated by the pandemic years, the club was reluctant to gather and socialize. The world which was already limited for many seniors became even more isolated.

The Laconia Friendship Club has returned this year with a program that brought us back together. We met from September to December, and then again in March through June. We will once again have summer activities, breakfasts and meet-ups. The regular yearly activities will begin again on Wednesday, Sept. 6. All seniors 55-plus in the Laconia area are welcome.
