LACONIA — After a 2-year hiatus, Laconia Christian Academy hosted the return of Grandparent's Day on Sept. 9. The academy welcomed over 150 grandparents for the annual pancake breakfast.

Students in pre-K through 5th grade enjoyed pancakes with their grandparents, along with a craft, and the chance to show off their classrooms and introduce their teachers. Head of School, Rick Duba, remarked, "It is so nice to get back to the celebrations we enjoyed before COVID with a packed house. And for me personally, after 18 years of celebrating grandparents day, I get to celebrate this one with my granddaughter. I couldn't be more thrilled."

Another grandparent said, "What a wonderful gift for me to join my grandsons for breakfast and a tour of their new beloved school. As [my grandson] has said many times, 'Nanna we can talk about God in our school.' How happy he is. Thank you for what you do, and the excitement I see on my grandsons' faces."
