John Desharnais named to Meredith Area Chamber board

MEREDITH — Wicked Cool Mechanical announced owner John Desharnais has joined the Meredith Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, effective January 2026.

Desharnais was recommended to the board by former Chamber President John Stephens and elected by board vote. The Chamber board includes 12 members.

“Through conversations with Chamber leaders, it became clear that education and increasing awareness around the skilled trades is an important need,” said Desharnais. “I plan to speak at local high schools to help students understand the transferable skills and career opportunities available in the in the trades, here in our region and anywhere.”

Desharnais also noted the recent Chamber membership of the New Hampshire School of Mechanical Trades and its Moultonborough location as a welcome addition to the local business community.

“A strong Chamber matters because it serves the community as a whole,” said Desharnais. “It connects business owners, builds relationships, and strengthens the support system local employers rely on.”

“John’s background in the trades and his desire to give back to the community made it an easy choice to nominate him,” said John Stephens, founder and chief growth officer at Stephens Landscaping and a board member of the Meredith Area Chamber of Commerce. “He brings strong business insight, a history of networking, and a fresh perspective that will help move the Chamber forward.”

Wicked Cool Mechanical is a commercial HVAC and refrigeration contractor serving New Hampshire, including Meredith and the Lakes Region. The company supports facilities teams and business owners with emergency service, planned maintenance, repair, and equipment replacement.
