MOULTONBOROUGH — The Friends of the Moultonborough Library presented the Mary Rice Award to Jane Harrington during the September Book Author Luncheon at Bald Peak Colony Club.
Harrington is the 21st recipient of the award, presented annually to an individual who personifies outstanding voluntary service to the Friends of the Library, library staff and the Moultonborough Library.
Although she did not get her first Moultonborough Library card until 2008, Harrington quickly became a passionate member of the Friends. By 2012, she was vice-president, and she served as president in 2014-2018. Her exuberant style, coupled with humor and excellent organizational skills, helped the Friends grow in membership and increase donations, as well as expanding the scope of the organization.
