SANBORNTON — Drive down and chip in on June 20 for the Thompson-Tapply Community Center’s 16th Annual Tee it Up ‘Fore’ the Kids’ Golf Classic Fundraiser. Registration is now open for teams of four to sign up for this super fun day being held at the beautiful Den Brae Golf Course in Sanbornton.

Reserve spots that include green fees, cart and buffet dinner, plus prizes for lowest team, longest drive and closest to the pin. Register online at ttccrec.org/special_programs/tee-it-up-fore-the-kids.

As part of this fundraising drive, we are also looking for hole sponsors starting at our Bogey Level Sponsor for $50, our Par Level Sponsor for $100, our Birdie Level Sponsor for $200, and our Eagle Level Sponsor for $500, which includes half-priced entry for a four-person team, plus an event T-shirt and player gift bag. All hole sponsors receive tee signage and press recognition as event sponsors. Stay the course and sign-up today to support the 75 different programs we offer.

The center will be hosting a special 24-hour online campaign known as NH GIVES. This once-a-year event begins at 5 p.m. on June 9, and ends at 5 p.m. on June 10, where for one whole day, the center asks for your financial support and donations.

From the comfort of your own home, phone or computer, visit our Giving Day Page at nhgives.org/organizations/tapply-thompson-community-center and help send someone to summer camp, attend a sports program, or support our next big Capital Building Project we currently have underway.

NH GIVES has several special donation deals held throughout the 24-hour time frame, where TTCC will receive either twice the donations from designated match donors or cash prizes for such things as being the first one to donate on June 9 or being the last one to donate on June 10. If you would like to be a match donor, contact the center at any time before the event and let them know what amount you would like to extend for a match. If someone pledges that amount, the match donor will contribute that same amount, doubling the donation.

The last special event for June is a Community Visioning Charette being held on Wednesday, June 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 90 Lake St. in Bristol. This event is being held in partnership with the Lakes Region Planning Commission and Environmental Design and Research and is our public presentation for our next big project: The building of a new community center. Refreshments will be provided, and your input and ideas are cordially invited.

Stay tuned for updates on all June events. For more information, call the community center at 603-744-2713, email info@ttccrec.org, or visit ttccrec.org/ or facebook.com/TTCC1946.
