Gilmanton Year-Round Library Association features paintings by Nancy Dirubbo for Sept.

GILMANTON — The Gilmanton Year-Round Library Association continues its "Arts in the Library" initiative throughout the month of September, featuring an exhibition of paintings by local artist Nancy Dirubbo.

After a long and fulfilling career in healthcare, Dirubbo now devotes her focus to her passion for fine art. Painting in the style of traditional realism from her home studio in Gilmanton, she utilizes light and color to capture serenity in still-life art and dynamic energy in landscapes. Her work is deeply influenced by the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, the Maine coast, and her extensive international travels, including studying at the French Art School in the Limousin and painting plein air in the Creuse Valley where Monet once painted.

An associate member of Oil Painters of America, Dirubbo has trained under renowned instructors and exhibited across New England galleries, including the Belknap Mill, the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery, and the Boothbay Regional Art Foundation Gallery. Her work is also currently featured at Artistic Roots in Plymouth.

The public is invited to view Dirubbo's artwork during regular library hours throughout September.
