WOLFEBORO — Makers Mill is offering two hands-on electronics workshops this November with instructor John Gotthardt, giving hobbyists, makers, students, and those interested in technical careers an opportunity to develop practical skills in a small-group setting.

"Discover Electronics 4 — Introduction to Arduino" is a three-part class held Thursdays, Nov. 5, 12, and 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. Participants will explore Arduino, a versatile microcontroller platform that makes it possible to create interactive electronics, robotics, and other innovative projects. Designed for adults and youth ages 12 to 17 with basic electronics knowledge, the class offers an opportunity to build practical skills and explore new creative possibilities.

"How to Use an Oscilloscope," offered Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 to 11 a.m., introduces participants to an essential tool for understanding and troubleshooting electronic circuits. Through hands-on activities, students will learn to visualize electrical signals, explore how circuits function, and develop practical troubleshooting skills. Basic knowledge of electricity and experience using a multimeter are required.

Both workshops are led by John Gotthardt, who brings 40 years of professional experience designing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic equipment. An enthusiastic tinkerer, Gotthardt enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping others explore electronics for personal projects, hobbies, and potential careers.

Classes take place in Makers Mill's Electronics Shop at 23 Bay St. in Wolfeboro, with enrollment limited to four participants per workshop to allow for individualized instruction.

Want to see electronics in action? Gotthardt will also offer an electronics demonstration during Makers Mill's Holiday Market & Open House on Sunday, Nov. 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. The free community event will feature handmade goods from local makers, live demonstrations, and opportunities to explore Makers Mill's workshops and meet the people who bring them to life.
