LACONIA — Colonial Theatre is partnering with the New Hampshire Food Bank to host a food drive supporting individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout New Hampshire.

Guests are encouraged to support the food drive by donating non-perishable food items to help nourish neighbors in need. Donations can be dropped off in the brown donation box located in the Colonial Theatre lobby, Monday through Friday during box office hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while attending one of Colonial Theatre’s shows, listed below.

The New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, is the state’s only food bank, supplying millions of pounds of food annually to more than 400 partner agencies, including food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, children’s programs, and senior centers. Through this statewide network, the Food Bank helps provide essential food resources to communities across all 10 New Hampshire counties.

The most-needed items include canned fruits and vegetables, canned tuna and chicken, beans and lentils, whole-grain pasta and rice, rolled oats, peanut butter and other nut butters, shelf-stable milk and non-dairy milk, and 100% fruit juice. Low-sodium and no-added-sugar options are especially encouraged when available.

Through this partnership, Colonial Theatre is proud to help support the New Hampshire Food Bank’s mission to alleviate food insecurity, nourish communities, and work toward a hunger-free New Hampshire where all Granite Staters have access to the food they need to thrive.

Food Drive will run through the following Colonial Theatre events:

  • Jimmy Dunn’s Comedy All Stars — Saturday, Nov. 7
  • Geoff Tate’s Operation: Mindcrime - The Final Chapter — Wednesday, Nov. 11
  • Tusk: The Classic Fleetwood Mac Tribute — Saturday, Nov. 14
  • Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland — Sunday, Nov. 22
  • Safe Haven Ballet Presents The Nutcracker — Sunday, Nov. 29
