LACONIA — The Weirs Community Park Association is holding its first blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 25 Lucerne Ave. in Laconia. Blood donations are urgently needed this time of year, especially after the recent hurricanes that inflicted damage in Florida and the Carolinas.
Another drive will be held on Thursday, Dec. 26.
Call 800-RED CROSS or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: Weirs CC NH to schedule an appointment.
Donations of types O, B- and A- blood can consider making a Power Red donation, which results in safely donating two units of red blood cells during one donation while returning plasma and platelets.
