2nd Annual Woodworking Fundraiser to support local food pantries

MEREDITH — The Lakes Region woodworking community is coming together on Friday, Aug. 28 for an evening of craftsmanship and community impact at Art Of Turning’s Second Annual Woodworking Competition & Fundraiser, hosted at Twin Barns Brewing Co. in Meredith. The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and is open to the public, with all proceeds benefiting local food pantries.

Makers from across the region have spent the summer preparing their handcrafted entries. From segmented turnings to precision joinery and functional pieces built with care. In the days leading up to the event, Art Of Turning is sharing sneak peek photos on social media showing the dedication and craftsmanship behind each project coming to life.

"This fundraiser is about more than woodworking," said event organizer Andrew Eaton, owner of Art Of Turning. "It’s about neighbors supporting neighbors. Every maker brings their best, and every attendee helps strengthen our community."

Guests will have the opportunity to view all 20 submitted pieces, meet the makers, and purchase raffle tickets where each item will be taken home that evening. All funds raised will directly support food pantries serving families throughout the Lakes Region.
