LACONIA — Lakes Region Community Services has announced the appointment of Erin Pettengill as its permanent chief executive officer, effective Jan. 30. In this role, Pettengill will lead the organization’s strategic direction, operations, and long-term vision as it enters its next phase of growth.

She most recently served as the interim CEO for LRCS and is a 16-year veteran of the organization. During her tenure at LRCS, she has cultivated strong relationships with LRCS staff and state partners, and has built trusted connections with clients, families and community stakeholders in Laconia and across New Hampshire.

"We are thrilled to extend this offer to Erin who is a pivotal part of the day-to-day functions of Lakes Region Community Services already. We are excited to see the organization grow and where Erin will guide LRCS for the future," stated a press release. 

In her new position, Pettengill will play a critical role in advancing the LRCS mission of “Dedicated to Serving the Community by Promoting Independence, Dignity and Opportunity.”

“It’s an honor to be offered this leadership opportunity,” said Pettengill. “I look forward to working with the team to build on the organization’s strong foundation, continue delivering quality services to the individuals we support and their families, and drive meaningful growth.”

Pettengill holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Capella University and a bachelor’s degree from Keene State College.
