LACONIA — Bank of New Hampshire, the oldest and one of the largest independent banks in New Hampshire, recently held its 194th Annual Meeting of Corporators, reporting on another successful year of deposit growth and financial performance.

BNH was once again ranked the top bank in New Hampshire and the fifth-rated institution across New England among mutual banks with assets up to $10 billion, as reported in the fourth quarter of the Bank Performance Report. The bank reported solid financial results, achieving a net interest margin of 2.62%, exceeding its net income budget with $16.872 million and reporting $45 million in deposit growth. These achievements reflect BNH’s prudent management, strategic foresight and continued trust placed in the organization by its customers.

The bank’s success is bolstered by the guidance and support of its board of directors and corporators. At the meeting, BNH welcomed three new corporators: John Scheinman, Joseph Kenney and Michael Seymour.

Director of Development at Plymouth State University John Scheinman brings over 30 years of experience in education and fundraising. He has led historic fundraising initiatives that have raised millions for the university and is also the co-founder of Jacob’s Bridge Through Autism.

Executive Councilor for District 1 Joseph Kenney has dedicated his career to public service. A 37-year veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps, he was honored with the “Heroes Among Us Award” by the Boston Celtics. Kenney has championed drug and alcohol prevention programs, sponsored key legislation in the New Hampshire Legislature, and is currently working to address childcare challenges by reducing waitlists and strengthening workforce capacity.

Executive Vice President Chief Retail Banking & Marketing Officer at BNH Michael Seymour brings 34 years of experience in retail banking and marketing. He is a long-standing member of the Laconia community, having served as mayor of Laconia, chairman of the Laconia Board of Education and chairperson of the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction. His leadership has been recognized with a Norman Marsh Award and the NH Business Industry Association’s 40 Under Forty award.
