LACONIA — NH Conservation Districts is accepting grant proposals from farmers for its Climate Resiliency grant program. The deadline to apply is Feb. 1, 2026. There will be a free information session over Zoom on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 5 p.m. Pre-registration is required.

To be eligible applicants must be selling directly to consumers, or through wholesale markets, for at least two years. They must have secure access (own or lease) to the land they are farming.

Grant award limits are up to $10,000 with the grant covering up to 75% of the project’s cost and the applying farmer providing 25% of the project’s cost. The farmer’s contribution can be in the value of their time and use of their equipment on the project, or in materials, or payment to a third-party contractor.

The Climate Resiliency Grant was designed by the Conservation Districts in New Hampshire to support and empower local farmers in developing adaptations to changes in our environment.  These grants offer an opportunity to local farmers to reduce the impact of more severe rain and drought events, invasive plant and animal species, and fluctuations in energy needs.
