CANTERBURY ― The spirit of kindness was alive and well on Saturday, Sept. 26, as the Sixth Annual Jake Deware Kindness Project Golf Tournament celebrated a record-breaking year, raising an incredible $37,200. Held at Canterbury Woods Country Club, this year's spooky-themed tournament brought together golfers, local businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and community supporters for a memorable day dedicated to making a difference.

Now in its sixth year, the annual tournament continues to grow, bringing people together to honor Jake Deware's legacy and spread kindness throughout the community. In total, the golf tournament has raised an impressive $185,515 since 2021.

Organized with the support of Rowell's Services, the tournament has become a much-anticipated community tradition, demonstrating what can happen when local businesses, friends, families, and neighbors unite behind a meaningful cause.

"Jake’s love of life is shown through our community coming together year after year to carry on his legacy. We are beyond grateful to everyone who helped make this our most successful tournament yet," said the Dewares in a joint statement.
