WOLFEBORO — The New Hampshire Boat Museum opens for the 2022 season on Saturday, May 28, highlighted by cruises on Lake Winnipesaukee in the Millie B. A 28-foot, mahogany triple cockpit “woodie,” the Millie B is NHBM’s replica 1928 Hacker-Craft that is accurate down to its seat colors.

“The Millie B is just one of many opportunities to experience being on the water in the Lakes Region this summer,” noted NHBM Executive Director Martha Cummings. “From sailing to paddling in boats you build and more, there is plenty to do at NHBM.”

There is also plenty to see, as NHBM will soon reveal details regarding upcoming special exhibits and featured art created by local artists.

“We have programs for kids and families, too,” added Cummings, who said NHBM continues to expand its programs year over year. “We are a hands-on, educational and fun institution committed to inspiring people of all ages to experience and appreciate New Hampshire’s fresh waterways.”

Founded in 1992 by antique and classic boating enthusiasts, NHBM is open Memorial Day weekend through Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day weekend in October. Reservations are strongly recommended for rides on the Millie B. Private charters are also available with time slots filling up fast for the season.
