Skull shapes and ghostly eyes are among a gallery of Halloween-themed spooky space sightings.
NASA Universe revealed several astral oddities this week ahead of Oct. 31.

Showcasing four eye-like observations, it said: “Do you ever get the feeling you’re being watched?
“Even though all of these cosmic objects are millions of light-years away, they can still send shivers down our spines when we find them staring back at us.”

These further space shockers are enough to send a chill down the spine.
They include the sun looking like a grinning pumpkin as its plasma creates eye and mouth shapes, and a screaming skull shape appearing in the Perseus Cluster.
This image, taken with the Advanced Camera for Surveys aboard the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, shows the newly discovered planet, Fomalhaut b, orbiting its parent star, Fomalhaut. The small white box at lower right pinpoints the planet's location. (NASA / ESA / P. Kalas via SWNS)
Elsewhere, a huge red eye shape is seen as planet Fomalhaut b orbits its parent star, and there’s even seemingly a massive face on Mars.
NASA's Viking 1 Orbiter spacecraft photographed this region, which resembles a face, in the northern latitudes of Mars on July 25, 1976 while searching for a landing site for the Viking 2 Lander. (NASA via SWNS)
