Werner Rebsamen: To get rid of this mess, elect new leaders in Washington, D.C.

It does not matter if voters are Democrat, Republican or an independent like myself. If they want to continue the current mess with high prices such as gas, food, heating, etc., and if they love to have the government hire 87,000 additional IRS agents, then please go ahead and vote for our current representatives and let them go back serving at the U.S. Congress. They will keep spending money for illegals, etc., like there is no tomorrow. Crime, drugs, etc., will increase. The border will remain open.

If voters seek or want to make a change, make sure new faces and talents will go to Washington and represent us. Do not believe all the political, sometimes vicious ads, most of them being untrue. On abortion, we have an acceptable New Hampshire law. No individual will ever be able to eliminate Social Security. Nevertheless, bear in mind, we may need to make minor changes to keep it going. Seniors have the power to accept or reject those changes.

Most important is that they cast their votes Nov. 8. But again, think about our future twice, like of what is needed to change our current situation.
