To The Daily Sun,
Two days ago I read an article related to the November primaries in The Daily Sun. Thanks for printing it, a little late though.Â
For two years I have been asking the legislators to introduce a bill covering the well being of the elderly living in assisted-living homes. I might as well be whistling "Dixie" in the middle of Interstate 93.Â
Yes, there is a shortage of help, money, food, fuel, medicine, you name it. That is no reason to put the elderly on a shelf again, all they ask for is respect, free of bias. This is not hearsay, I live in one of these homes. I would like to be served nutritious meals three times a day as promised in the contract I signed when I arrived here.
Now is the time, the legislators are coming into a new year. How about a bill covering the health and well being of the elderly? The legislators will be proposing pay raises from $100 to $500. I'm sure you did not want to serve your state for the compensation, so let's get on with the job.
Hope you print this, we the elderly need some encouragement from the younger generation.
