Susan Curtis: What happened to 'Ask what you can do for your country'?

Donald Trump does not have the cards to exploit Ukraine, Greenland or Palestine. What happened to the words of President John Kennedy "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." It is not about enriching Trump. Trump policies have caused pain every day. Cost of living has not gone down. Many good departments in our country are being demolished. People appointed to powerful positions are not representing us well bringing their inexperience to the table. For example, when executing bombing raids, one goes to the protected Situation Room. We are insulting allies with whom our friendships and treaties go back decades. We are abusing and manipulating tariffs with Canada, Mexico and China, creating a crisis in trade. This is not who we are as a country.

The majority of people work hard in what they do to support themselves, their families, communities, country, and the members of this beautiful world which we are a part of. We pay taxes for these reasons, not because we are stupid. Trump has fooled good people. A budget with $4.5 trillion in tax breaks for the rich and $4 trillion increased debt limit is unacceptable.

Illegal firings include: National Institute of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, National Parks, Armed Services, Veterans Affairs, USPS, air traffic controllers, Department of Education, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, FEMA, State Department. Money being held by the president from approved funds include infrastructure funds, emergency funds for international assistance, migration and refugee assistance, National Science Foundation, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and International Narcotics Control and Reinforcement. We are experiencing daily government deportations without due process.
