Steve Earle: Media is every bit as responsible as the shooter

Well it happened a Donald Trump hater tried and almost succeeded in killing Donald Trump. The shot, an inch to the right and we would be writing and talking about death. Wonder is it hasn't happened sooner and mainstream media is every bit as responsible as the shooter himself. For over eight years media has pushed lies, slanders and hatred toward the former president. Soundbites on TV were altered so to change Trump's words meanings to make him sound evil, anything but the truth. Newspapers printed scandalous lies repeatedly, misrepresented facts while covering up for completely dishonest stories like the Russian collusion hoax which was funded by Hillary Clinton's campaign. Leftists have been brainwashed by media into believing a good man, an American loving patriot who only wants to protect our people from corrupt criminal political activists from destroying our constitution and stripping Americans of our rights.

This nation is being attacked by inside and outside elements every day. A British communist journalist, David Aarodavich, days ago: "If I was Biden I'd hurry up and have Trump murdered." Even Joe B. mentioned putting Trump in the crosshairs. Think that doesn't inspire the nut jobs? They seek to divide America with malicious lies hidden in late night TV shows, political hate afternoon shows like The View, and the media does nothing to challenge these haters. At some point media must be held accountable for the chaos they are promoting. It's time they opened their eyes and realized the insanity of creating division and hate because it will surely come crashing back into those very houses they have been so ardently building.

Those on the left dodged a bullet also. The attempted assassination has enraged the right and as the in the old saying, what goes around comes around.
