To The Daily Sun,

In 2024 eliminating the danger of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances known as forever chemicals is and will be a big deal not just for Merrimack residents but the entire state.

Here are the initial bills I hope to be able to vote favorably on in New Hampshires House of Representatives.

HB 0027 sponsored by Suzanne Vail, eliminating the statute of limitations on civil actions relative to damage caused by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances.

HB 0141 sponsored by Wendy Thomas, prohibiting the sale of ski boat and board waxes that contain intentionally added per- and polyflourinated alkyl substances.

HB 0149 sponsored by Nicholas Germana, establishing a moratorium on the processing and approval of new landfills.

When most people think about our state and local economies, our state parks and countless waterways don't come up as much as businesses and what they contribute.

We need to start putting nature on the same level, and maybe a level above because major damage and ecological catastrophes can cost local taxpayers millions of dollars to clean up, millions from their already overburdened pockets.

Saving the natural beauty of New Hampshire can save you millions of dollars, headaches and hardships.

I know that bucking big waste companies like Casella isn't an overly popular position to take in this era of political donating. I don't take money from these kinds of big donors with agendas and bottom lines so, I don't have anyone to hold me back from making choices I believe are best for nature, animals, thousands of individual ecosystems and my Merrimack brothers and sisters negatively affected by cancer causing chemicals and greed.

Fight the good fight.
