Richard Littlefield: Antifa is in an entirely different class from US servicemen

David Masters was 100% correct when he said our servicemen from yester-year were anti-fascist. He is wrong to put those soldiers on the same level as thugs that cover their faces and use whatever primitive tools of destruction they can find to burn small businesses and police precincts. That is a giant slap in the face to legitimate heroes.

Arlington Cemetery is filled with valiant warriors who fought for this country, not lawless uninformed punks whose only idea of patriotism is burning the American flag.

Mr. Masters is rightly entitled to his own opinion, but I'm not going to humanize and glorify individuals who live to see the United States government burn to the ground bringing with it the hopes, aspirations, and hard work of hundreds of millions of people of all ages and ethnicities.

Let's objectively look at the actions of those who carry the Antifa flag.

They are lawless. Which is why they stay in poorly run cities and states.

They attack with force to keep people from sharing political and philosophical views that are not their own. That's what fascists do.

Antifa throughout the summer of 2020 caused billions of dollars in damages, took lives, looted and rioted. That is what criminals do.

We should not ever compare legitimate heroes with well funded antagonists and civil agitators we see today. I hope I never see another letter glorifying Antifa ever again.
