To The Daily Sun,
The Laconia Daily Sun published the Voter Guide in the Oct. 31 newspaper. The information concerning my positions did not accurately present my positions. The information presented was obtained from a third party survey group. I do not participate in these survey groups as I have found numerous times in the past that the information can be used in divisive ways. The appearance that I did not respond to questions from The Laconia Daily Sun is not accurate and there was no verification of the points that were outlined (some inaccurately). I have always been clear, through my voting record and interactions with constituents on all issues.
Abortion, I support the current state law. Abortion is legal in New Hampshire up to six months of pregnancy. After this period, abortions are permitted only if there is fatal fetal diagnosis or the mother’s life or health is at risk.
Taxes, I do not support any broad base tax, income tax, or capital gains tax.
I strongly support local law enforcement cooperation with federal officials for immigration enforcement.
I am opposed to further legislation restricting 2nd Amendment rights. I do support and highly encourage our law enforcement and court system to enforce our current laws.
I would suggest that if there is questions on my voting record please contact me at steven.bogert@leg.state.nh.us.
Rep. Steven Bogert
