To The Daily Sun,
Thank you to everyone in Laconia for your votes in the primary. I am deeply humbled by your support; I am honored to have won every ward in the new District 5, which consists of Laconia Wards 1,3,4,5,6. I want to assure you that I will continue to work day and night to make sure that your concerns are heard and addressed well before the general election.
Whether or not you voted for me in this primary, I want you to know that I am dedicated to serving you. When we work together, not as Republicans, Democrats or independents, but as members of one community, I know that we can accomplish great things. Gunstock Mountain Resort was a major concern for many, but we came together and made sure our precious gem got back to running as normal.
During these uncertain times of high inflation, high energy costs and high gas prices, my highest commitment is to be your voice in the state Legislature and county delegation so that we can achieve our shared goals. This city is one that has been built by our compassion toward each other, our commitment to decency and our faith in our neighbors.
This is the time for us to be united as a community so that we can genuinely rebuild our economy, create good paying jobs, reduce the cost of housing, and ensure that every student receives a great education.
Thank you again, Laconia, for the strong show of support and congratulations to the other three Republican candidates that made it through the primary. I look forward to working cooperatively with each one of you this upcoming election.
Rep. Mike Bordes
Laconia
