To The Daily Sun,

Just when I thought the news from The Laconia Daily Sun could not sink any lower in our area, a blatantly misleading headline stated that Comtois and Brouillard voted against the moratorium on landfills. As a member of the Committee on Environment & Agriculture, I can say for certain that the committee report to suspend all landfill sitings until July 1, 2028, was unanimous. A vote of 18-0. I am not sure how you could possibly misconstrue a unanimous vote unless you are biased.

I put in a call to The Laconia Daily Sun, let’s see if they make it a headline to correct their mistake or just bury it. We as citizens of New Hampshire should expect nothing but the truth. We may not like the truth, but it is very important and seems to be lacking a lot these days.

I may not always agree with everyone, but if something is true, who am I to dismiss it and alter it to suit a narrative. This happened at the most recent county delegation meeting on more than one occasion. At one point, the blatant untruth was so obviously disproved, one can only ask how many other misleading statements is the public hearing?
