Prudy Morin Veysey: Reelect David Nagel to New Hampshire House of Representatives, Belknap County District 6

We lament the discord in politics and long for legislators who will work with others to address and solve our complex problems. In our midst, there is such a person.

I am proud to endorse Dr. David Nagel for reelection to the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Belknap County District 6. (Laconia Ward 2, Gilford and Gilmanton) Rep. Nagel promised to bring sensibility to Concord. He has done that and more.

He has quickly and quietly assumed a leadership position through his willingness to bring diverse groups of stakeholders together to solve complex social issues in a meaningful and the lasting way that will benefit all of us.

You may have attended one of his many town hall meetings. I have and continue to be impressed not only by his well thought out proposals, particularly on health care issues, but also his willingness to listen to his constituents and learn from them. Not lost was his work ethic. In his short time in the House, he has been involved in 15 pieces of legislation as author, sponsor, and or champion. But it is in committee work where he excels. He serves on 14 committees and sub-committees, four of which he chairs. In those settings, he brings people together, countering the divisiveness that too often pervades politics. The result is meaningful policy.

And he does all that while continuing his medical practice.

Rep. Nagel is a breath of fresh air in politics, one that is sorely needed in Concord. Please join me in voting to re-elect Dr. Nagel to the state House of Representatives. It is a vote readers can be proud of.
