Diversity. The word has different connotations to different groups of people. If public servants are hardworking, compassionate, competent and working for the betterment of American citizens, it doesn’t matter if they are diverse in race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. However, if they are diverse in their incompetence (Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — anti-vax; Peter Hegseth — alcoholic, Kash Patel — conspiracist), I don’t want them leading our government agencies. This will probably be my last editorial for a while since our dictator in chief will probably start banning any American news media or opinion that doesn’t flatter him or his incompetent hires.
