Over the weekend Mr. Joe Biden’s account on X posted a statement reading, “It is in the best interest of my party (and the country) for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.” There was neither video nor audio of the announcement.
Team Biden promised to offer details of his reasoning for dropping out ... later. About 15 minutes after the initial announcement, someone posted, Mr. Biden backs Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democrat nomination. Clearly, it was an afterthought.
This would seem reflective of tepid support.
The announcement makes Mr. Biden the first U.S. president to not seek re-election since 1968. He did not go quietly or willingly into retirement. Axios News and the New York Times are reporting former President Barack Obama was a key organizer of his ouster. Obama’s concern came to a head following the disastrous debate performance which made Biden’s dementia intuitively obvious to the casual observer.
Post debate polls show a collapse in support; donors shut their wallets; and elected Democrats worked feverishly to push Biden out. The effort paid off. Mr. Biden will no longer run for re-election. He will serve out his term with his wife Jill and son Hunter as his key advisors. That’s their plan through January.
None of this is new news. It isn’t even the important part of the story. We have known Mr. Biden was impaired since before Election Day. Yet, no one has acknowledged that fact nor attempted to act on that fact. His letter stepping back from the reelection campaign places party before country. This tells us about Democrat Party leadership and their operation. For today the question is: How will the rest of the world react to this development?

Joe Biden has been an effective president since January, The infrastructure bill was quite the accomplishment and good for this country. He’s been good with foreign leaders, And definitely on our side as far as abortion, rights, and women’s rights. He has done more for the average American than the prior president, He has been a public servant for more than half his life. A little confusion doesn’t make him demented if it did the prior president would be in the same category and maybe should step out of the race too. Age doesn’t always mean you’re demented maybe forgetful and May be tired from cleaning up the mess of the last president. When he took over there was no normalcy in this country, From the Covid to the daily crisis every day prior to his presidency He brought the country to normalcy instead of the extremism of the prior president. Thank you, Joe!!!!!
