To The Daily Sun,

Did readers listen to Sen. Jeanne Shaheen recently? She commented that she was in favor of the United States military removing the dictator Nicolas Maduro from Venezuela.

Truly profound from the same person who railed against Marco Rubio, the secretary of state, during the confirmation process. Her demeanor was hateful as observed by all present. The senator is retiring and will no longer have a vested interest in policy making; however, her daughter appears to be entering politics at the federal level which raises an interesting question within the political process.

I never heard the senator show any concern regarding the people of Venezuela, eight million of which have fled the country. Sen. Shaheen has been a solid supporter of the Democrat party, a party that would run out of sand if they controlled the Sahara Desert.
