To The Daily Sun,
We need more people in Concord who know how to listen, solve problems, and bring people together. Deirdre McEachern, candidate for state representative in District 6, is exactly that kind of leader.
As chair of the Tuftonboro Democrats, I have watched Deirdre build an extraordinary team of local supporters. Her campaign is one of the most organized and energetic I have seen. That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because people believe in Deirdre, enjoy working with her, and trust her leadership.
I've heard the same things from neighbors who have gotten to know her: Deirdre is warm, thoughtful, a terrific listener, and a natural problem solver. She has a remarkable ability to bring people together around a common goal.
And she has the experience to back it up. As a former head of school, Deirdre understands education and the challenges facing students, teachers, and families. As a small business owner, she knows firsthand what it takes to build a business and navigate economic challenges. She even has a degree in conflict resolution. Imagine how useful that skill could be in Concord?
What impresses me most about Deirdre is that she doesn't just talk about working together. She actually does it. I've watched her turn enthusiasm into action and individuals into a team.
District 6 needs a representative who will listen, think independently, and work with others to get things done. Deirdre McEachern has already shown us she can do exactly that.
I hope readers will join me in voting for Deirdre McEachern on Nov. 3.
