To The Daily Sun,

On Tuesday, Nov. 18, President Donald Trump hosted Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House. During Trump’s first term, the CIA found and reported the Crown Prince had directly ordered the violent murder of U.S. journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Yet when Salman was questioned about this killing, it was Trump who jumped right in and said he would answer the question. He said that Salman knew nothing about the killing and, of course, admonished the reporter for even asking it as well as suggesting that Khashoggi was the problem. Trump was fawning all over Salman, looking like a school boy who was spell bound by a rock star. I am sure Putin was jealous!

The reporter’s question to Trump was related to the conflicts of interest he had in hosting the Saudi Prince while his sons and son-in-law were actively engaged in business opportunities with the Saudis and other Middle East nations. Of course, he never answered the question. He didn’t have to as it is clear he is oblivious to any conflicts of interest and will do anything to advance any opportunities for himself and his sons even when it means fawning over a murderer. Trump was a lapdog to Salman in all regard as he slapped hands, stood up for him when he was questioned about murdering an American and then hosted a lavish dinner for him that evening. The whole show had nothing to do with the U.S. or the interest of the American people, rather it was all in the interest of Trump, his sons, and their businesses. While this Administration does and says things every day that are outright appalling, the events with the Saudi Prince should ring an alarm with all Americans, Trump is in this for himself not us.
