To The Daily Sun,

Do we have to resort to name calling? Campaigns are attacking Stefany Shaheen with name calling. I understand that politics is competitive, but name calling her "Silver Spoon?” This appears to be the model Donald Trump has set for the Republican party.

The grant they are criticizing is the federal award to the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute. Shaheen worked as a consultant for its founder, Dean Kamen, until she stepped down to run for the First Congressional District seat.

Both Republican Gov. Kelly Ayotte and former Republican Gov. Chris Sununu supported the ARMI grant, which was used to build a tech hub based in Manchester.

As a city councilor, Shaheen worked to clean up cancer-causing chemicals in drinking water. She also worked to protect funding for law enforcement while serving on the police commission and built a small business here in New Hampshire.

Can we just be adults about this? No name calling, no cartoons, and no lies. Let’s focus on the facts, the issues, and what candidates actually stand for.
