Bruce Jenket: Socialism is the real threat to today’s waning democracy

Is President Donald Trump a “threat to democracy” or a “threat to the Democratic Party?" Two very different perspectives. Both are based upon what news outlets, social media and trusted family/friends.

It’s no different than the American Civil War. Southern states run by Democrats “trusted” politicians that supported slavery. Northern states run by Republicans did not. The southerners attacked Fort Sumter, starting the Civil War. Approximately 700,000 Americans died in that war.

Today “blue” states run by Democrats support sanctuary policies that protect criminal illegal immigrants. “Red” states run by Republicans enforce federal law. Like the Fort Sumter attack, Democrats and their media allies are supporting Antifa, BLM, No Kings and ICE protests and riots. Virtually all occur in deep “blue” cities and states. It’s the start of Civil War all over again.

Democratic politicians and a complicit media minimize the destruction and support the agitator’s motives. They also suppress the fraud being exposed in “blue” cities and states. In addition, they suppressed the FBI’s indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center for funding hate groups. Here is that indictment: tinyurl.com/5y9exvb2.

Instead of investigating the SPLC allegations, the Democratic media “claims” the indictment is politically motivated. Maybe that’s because they used the SPLC allegations to promote the false narratives that Trump and his supporters are racists, Nazis, misogynists, homophobes, etc. They are not.

As the above truth comes out Democrats ignore it and pivot to another lie. “The wealthy don’t pay their fair share” to push their socialist agenda. Fact is the top 1% of taxpayers paid more income taxes than the bottom 90% in 2022 according to the Tax Foundation (tinyurl.com/ecrzva3h). Sen. Maggie Hassan, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, Rep. Chris Pappas and Rep. Maggie Goodlander don’t oppose the socialists taking over their party. Pity because socialism is the real threat to democracy.
