NEWINGTON — All furniture and fixtures at the Mall at Fox Run, soon to be demolished to clear the way for a new shopping district called Seacoast Landing, will be offered up to the public free of charge.
In February, mall owner Torrington Properties will hold two first-come, first-served giveaway events for all the items in the 43-year-old mall that remain, ranging from holiday decorations, tables and chairs, plants and wall art. All items will be free.
Torrington’s first giveaway is scheduled Saturday, Feb. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The second is Saturday, Feb. 21, during the same hours.
“There is no requirement or expectation for attendees to make a donation, and we will not be accepting money,” said Jenny Sidlik, the mall’s assistant property manager, employed by Torrington;
