LACONIA — City Councilor Armand Bolduc was the recipient of 101.5 WEEI Sports Radio’s Home Town Hero Award.
WEEI owner Dirk Nadon presented the award Thursday afternoon at Bolduc’s home in Laconia.
“I’ve known Armand since I was a kid and he was Chief Elf at Christmas Village in Laconia,” Nadon said. “Years later, I worked with Armand on assorted civic projects and at the World Championship Sled Dog Races.”
WEEI Sports Director Keith Murray remarked, “Armand is a giant in the Lakes Region and Laconia, a tireless man doing good deeds everywhere he goes.”
Mayor Ed Engler said, “I’ve had the honor to serve for part of Armand’s 30 years on the Laconia City Council. It’s my pleasure to be here today to help present the award. There isn’t a more deserving person to be the WEEI Home Town Hero than Laconia’s Armand Bolduc.”
The WEEI Home Town Hero Award was established in honor of 101.5 FM Radio’s founder, and Dirk Nadon’s step-father, Bill Forbes.
